Women's Center
Our Story
The Kopila Valley Sewa Samaj Women’s Center serves the most at-risk and vulnerable women in our community with life-changing vocational and empowerment training. We believe that investing in women and girls creates healthier families, more prosperous communities, and more peaceful nations. The Women's Center started in 2013 with the vision of empowering families of kids in Kopila Valley School. Today we have grown into a larger scale and we provide training to the women in the community we serve. Many women in Surkhet struggle with unsafe living environments, lack of access to education, and little economic opportunity. Through a combination of vocational training, empowerment education, and comprehensive counseling, the Women’s Center aims to provide more women with the skills needed to build independence, find economic security, and change their lives for the better.
